Our therapists are currently undergoing registration to provide therapy under the Mental Health Care Plan. Some children may qualify to access this plan. To access this plan, you can get a referral from a paediatrician, psychiatrist or GP. It entitles you to partial reimbursement of up to 10 occupational therapy sessions per calendar year.
If your child is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder your paediatrician may set up a Helping Children with Autism Plan which provides a partial reimbursement for 4 sessions as part of an assessment process or 20 sessions for intervention. Children may access this plan once in a lifetime only.
